With your help, CLARE has been Saving Lives Through Recovery for nearly 50 years. Your gifts have helped thousands of people regain control of their lives, find ways out of homelessness, reconnect with their families, and lead happier, sober lives.

Our reputation for excellence and innovation is comparable to few other nonprofit treatment and prevention programs in the country.
We are leaders in the industry and a beacon of hope for countless families. With approximately 6,000 men, women and children served last year, CLARE’s impact on the community remains tremendous.

If you’ve ever been helped by someone, or witnessed the profound effect of a helping hand on the life of someone you love, this is your opportunity to give back, or pay it forward.

Recovering from addiction is a challenging, complex and long road. If you perhaps already enjoy the gifts of family support and other resources to lift you up in the hard times, you can give that help to another.

It’s our promise to provide treatment that saves lives. Make no mistake thousands die of substance abuse each year. With the support and generosity of so many like you, we can change that statistic.

Please help if you can.

It would not be a hand out to us;
it would be a hand up,
to give us and future clients
a little push in the right direction.

Dorothy Richards Fund for Women’s Recovery (DRFWR) supports CLARE’s Women’s Residential Program. Goals are to raise funds for women requiring financial assistance to get the treatment they need, and to raise awareness about the specific needs of women in recovery.

Launched in 2015, the fund was named to recognize the outstanding contributions of Dorothy Richards, a longtime member of the board of CLARE, who has so generously given her heartfelt support to countless women in recovery.

The fund recognizes the complex factors that contribute to women’s addictive behaviors, and co-occurring disorders that often accompany women with substance abuse issues, as well as the financial barriers they face.

The Women’s Residential Program at CLARE provides the extra trust and safety that fosters recovery in women with a separate location on the CLARE campus and highly qualified, compassionate staff.
