Dr. Katheryn Whittaker is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vanguard University, her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University, and her Doctorate of Psychology from California Southern University. Along with her Chief Clinical Officer position at CLARE Foundation, she serves as an Adjunct Professor at Alliant International University, Los Angeles, and California State University, Long Beach.
Previous to working with CLARE Foundation, she worked for KLEAN Treatment Center in West Hollywood Dual residential program and Clearview Treatment Programs, Dr. Whittaker worked with Clearview Treatment Programs as the Clinical Director for the Center for Psychiatric Diagnosis and Addiction in Venice, CA , Matrix Institute on Addictions in West Los Angeles, CA as Director of Clinical Services, and Orange County Mental Health; serving individuals impacted by mental illness, substance abuse and trauma. Dr. Whittaker is an approved supervisor for the American Association for Marital & Family Therapy (AAMFT), a clinical member and approved supervisor for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT), and a clinical member of The International Family Therapy Association (IFTA). She has presented domestically and internationally in California, Hawaii, Washington DC, Colombia, El Salvador, Iceland, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, and Turkey.
